This year, I registered for the Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk because I want to take action and be More Than Pink. In 2017, our cousin, Camilla Ragland, who we deeply loved, passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. Never could I have ever imagined that my family would later face yet another tragedy to this terrible disease. On March 13, 2020, my older sister, Tya (pictured), went to the hospital with back pain only to find out that she had stage 4 breast cancer. Within 1 week of her diagnosis, she passed away at the young age of 47. I miss and love Tya with all of my heart and will be forever heartbroken knowing that I must continue to face life without her.
I pray that we can save lives and want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in honor or Tya, Camilla, and millions of others who have been impacted by breast cancer. Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and help for the women and men facing breast cancer today who need our support now, as much as ever. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them. Your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Thank you in advance!
